Sunkisst Entertainment isn’t just a business—it’s a love story. We’re Jared and Desiree, the husband-and-wife team bringing the energy to dance floors and photo booths across Central Texas. We met in Killeen, tied the knot in 2023 in Buckholts, and now we’re building something incredible together in Round Rock!
HOW IT ALL STARTED
Jared’s DJ journey started in the most unexpected place—an Apple Store. In 2010, at just 11 years old, he stumbled upon an app called Djay Pro on one of the display phones. That single moment sparked a passion for mixing that would shape his future.
Through high school, Jared immersed himself in the craft, studying not just the technical side of DJing but also what it took to turn a hobby into a business. By his late teens, he was already operating under a DBA, taking on gigs and refining his skills event by event. What started as a single booking a year quickly snowballed—first 20, then 40, and now over 80 events annually, reaching full capacity.
From humble beginnings as a local DJ in Killeen to performing at festivals like Neon Desert and Fortress Festival, Jared’s journey has been anything but ordinary. Today, as the owner of Sunkisst Entertainment, he and his wife bring that same passion and energy to weddings and events across Central Texas, making every celebration unforgettable.

OWNER & LEAD DJ
Hi! I’m Jared Petit, owner and founder of Sunkisst Entertainment, and Lead DJ. With over 12 years of experience and hundreds of events under my belt, I’ve had the chance to DJ everything from intimate weddings to packed dance floors all across Central Texas. I’m comfortable mixing all genres: pop, hip hop, country, throwbacks, Latin, and everything in between, and I pride myself on reading the room to keep the energy just right all night long!

Hi there, I'm Desiree! I’m the Co-Owner and Head of Photo Booth Operations, wife to Jared, and proud new mama to our son, Liam. I work behind the scenes with Jared, helping with admin and organizing important details, supporting one another, and always bouncing ideas, looking for new ways to make our business better. I absolutely LOVE seeing everyone's smiles and the laughter our photo booth and props bring! Don't be surprised if I’m laughing right along with you (or tearing up during the toasts!). It truly is an honor to be a part of so many special celebrations and helping you and your guests create the best memories that last a lifetime! I hope we get a chance to meet and to be a part of your event!

Hi, I’m Lance Blue! I’m a versatile DJ and MC based in Austin, Texas! I have experience DJing weddings, private parties, corporate functions, and karaoke nights! I began DJing in 2022 and have quickly built a reputation for creating fun, welcoming atmospheres! As a proud Austin native and University of Texas graduate, I bring a deep local connection and an easygoing spirit to every event. Known for smooth transitions, attention to detail, and my ability to read the crowd, I work seamlessly to keep the energy high and guests entertained—ensuring everyone has a great time!
